AND JUSTICE FOR ALL salutes Dart, Adamson & Donovan for its remarkable support of Utah’s civil legal aid programs. The attorneys in the DA&D Family Law Section have been steadfast supporters of the services provided by the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL partners. From their annual support of the AJFA Campaign as a firm and individually to their commitment to volunteering on legal aid organization Boards and taking pro bono cases, DA&D attorneys touch the lives of not only their paying clients, but of disadvantaged Utahns throughout the year. Sharon Donovan remarked, “we know how our support of AND JUSTICE FOR ALL allows its partner organizations (Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake, Utah Legal Services and Disability Law Center) to continue to provide quality legal services to low-income individuals. We believe that giving back to our legal community is a civic and ethical responsibility that has long been a high priority for our firm.”
Clayton Howarth & Cannon believes that pro bono services are so critical for low-income individuals to have access to legal services. The firm generously supports the AND JUSTICE FOR ALL campaign to ensure that low-income families, victims of domestic violence, and individuals with disabilities obtain the critical legal help they need to resolve their serious civil legal problems. AND JUSTICE FOR ALL and its partners Utah Legal Services, Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake and the Disability Law Center are so grateful to Clayton Howarth & Cannon for their support of the 2016 Annual AJFA Firm Campaign! Low-income Utahns far too often have to navigate complex civil legal problems on their own since they cannot afford an attorney. “AND JUSTICE FOR ALL” is grateful for Snell & Wilmer’s commitment to increasing access to justice for those who would otherwise not have the help of an attorney. Snell & Wilmer creates an environment of giving. The firm has generously supported the AJFA Campaign since its inception, and many of their attorneys also give individually. Snell & Wilmer also encourages its legal staff to donate a minimum of 50 pro bono hours each year to address the unmet legal needs of disadvantaged Utahns. Please join us in thanking Snell & Wilmer for all they do to make ours a better community!
The founder of TraskBritt, William S. Britt, is an expert in multiple technical areas due to his years of experience that aid his work as an attorney in intellectual law. Many of TraskBritt’s lawyers have been selected as 2016 Mountain State Super Lawyers once again, demonstrating their excellence as a firm. The Justice Gap, legal need analysis, revealed that 21% of low income Utahans who were in need of legal assistance did not get help because they feared the cost and 19% said they felt nothing could be done. This demonstrates the necessity of the services provided through the “And Justice for All” partnerships – showing the power of a donation to “And Justice for All” and our partners. We thank TraskBritt and its attorneys for your support of our 2016 Firm Campaign, and your generosity in the community!
Strindberg & Scholnick demonstrate a remarkable commitment to increasing access to justice for those unable to afford an attorney to resolve their serious legal problems. On top of the firm’s long-time financial support of AJFA, their attorneys volunteer regularly for AJFA and its partners – Lauren Scholnick on the AJFA Leadership Committee, Lauren and Erik Strindberg on the Utah Legal Services Board, and Jonathan Thorne with the AJFA Emerging Legal Leaders Group. Yet their commitment to justice goes much deeper: Strindberg & Scholnick was recognized this year with the Pro Bono Publico Law Firm of the Year Award for the hundreds of hours their attorneys spend each year providing pro bono services. AJFA is grateful for Strindberg & Scholnick’s work in Utah and the region. Thank you again to Strindberg & Scholnick for their on-going support. Strindberg & Scholnick’s is a boutique firm focusing on employment and labor law matters. You can find out more on their website: http://utahjobjustice.com/
We want to highlight Nanci Snow Bockelie at Bockelie Law for her continued support. Not only does she serve on the AJFA Board, but she also serves on the AJFA Leadership Committee and has been a long-time donor to our efforts. She has been a preeminent figure in law, in the political sphere, and in many respects in the Salt Lake Community throughout the years. We are grateful for our partnership with Bockelie Law Offices. Each year over 80,000 civil legal cases faced by low income Utahans are faced without any legal help. This is why we need firms in the state who are conscious of the need and have a desire to help because there is a lot of work that needs to be done every year and we are thankful to have Nanci Bockelie on our side.
Kirton McConkie is an invaluable supporter of AJFA’s Annual Firm Campaign. Not only have they been recognized as a top law firm in Utah, but their individual attorneys have been recognized time and time again for their expertise in multiple areas of the law. This includes multiple awards for their pro bono work in each of their respective fields. In 2013, Analise Wilson, Associate, won the Young Lawyer Pro Bono Publico Award. This was awarded to her for her work with a 90-year old widow. Analise helped keep her in her home when her stepsons used her home as collateral on a loan without her knowledge. The support of Utah’s legal community through pro bono efforts and contributions to AJFA helps those who would otherwise not have the help they need to resolve their legal problems.
