LEADERSHIP CAMPAIGN FOR EQUAL JUSTICE

“and Justice For all” is proud of our partnership with Utah’s legal community. The Law Firm Leadership Campaign for Equal Justice is our annual law firm initiative spearheaded by the AJFA Leadership Committee—a group of 20 of amazing attorneys, representing law firms and in-house legal departments across Utah.  This group comes together every year to ask all law firms and solo practitioners, regardless of their size, to give the equivalent of 2 billable hours per attorney or at the giving level of a firm’s discretion.

WHY JOIN THE CAMPAIGN?

Fulfill Your Pro Bono Requirement
An attorney’s contribution to “and Justice for all” will meet all or a portion of their obligation under Rule 6.1 of the Utah Rules of Professional Conduct which states that every lawyer has a professional responsibility to provide legal services to persons of limited means.

Help The Less Fortunate in Your Community
Our work is built on the simple belief that no person should be denied the right to justice. “and Justice for all” is a collaborative partnership between Utah’s largest providers of civil legal aid – Utah Legal Services, Disability Law Center, and Legal Aid Society of Salt Lake. Programs address clients’ most basic needs: ensuring safety from violence, ending discrimination, stabilizing families, preventing homelessness, and fostering self-sufficiency. Every year, through fundraising initiatives such as this, we are able to help approximately 30,000 individuals with direct legal services. We help even more Utahns by working to change unjust systems and laws.
