The Law Day Run in Salt Lake City is our annual 5K run that raises awareness and funds for civil legal aid. Law Day is an annual event sponsored by the American Bar Association (ABA) on May 1st. Our 5k is a chance to kick off the celebration of the law and our legal partners.
We believe that everyone should have access to legal representation, regardless of their financial status. This race raises funds that will be used to provide free and low cost civil legal aid services to help vulnerable people protect their rights, access essential services, and live with dignity.

The organization who recruits the most participants for the Run will be awarded the champion title and a grand prize. To become the 2023 “Team Recruiter Champion,” recruit the most registrants under your organization’s name. Be sure the Recruiting Organization (Team) is filled in when you register to get competition credit.
SPEED INDIVIDUAL ATTORNEY COMPETITION:
In addition to the overall top male and female race times recognized, the top male and female attorneys with the fastest race times will be recognized. To enter, an individual must fill in their State Bar number in the space provided.
SPEED TEAM COMPETITION:
Compete as a Speed Team by signing up five runners (with a minimum of two female racers) to compete together. All five finishing times will be totaled and the team with the fastest average time will be awarded possession of the Speed Team Trophy for one year. There is no limit to how many teams an organization can have, but a runner can participate on only one team. To register as a team, have all five runners fill in the same Speed Team name when registering.
